Comparison of third party Japanese PS3/Wii sales from launches to then-present.

Showing price cuts of major systems over the last decade or so in the US, from launch.  Hard to read thanks to overlapping lines.  PS3/X360 not included thanks to a friggin' insane number of SKUs.

Showing why a head start matters.  Thanks to its head start of a year in the States, X360 was the lead hardware for quite some time after PS3/Wii released, and still is a very strong #2.  But if we imagine all its sales being pushed back a year it's never even close to #1 and is a much weaker #2.
