SPOILERS TOTAL. You've been warned.
101: Heaven's Half Hour 2025 March 4
(First watched 2026-03-27) This would've been written and produced well before the end of 2024... but feels so very very much about Trump winning a second term despite everything everyone knows about him. Wilson Fisk, the villain of 4 previous seasons of television, making himself seem the victim and rising to victory in an election (albeit a lesser one than POTUS) on his ability to get things done and having enriched himself.
Elsewhere... poor Foggy. Making a clear break from the status quo of the predecessor show.
102: Optics 2025 March 4
(First watched 2026-03-28)
103: The Hollow of His Hand 2025 March 11
(First watched 2026-03-28)
104: Sic Semper Systema 2025 March 18
(First watched 2026-03-28) They do a pretty good job of showing Fisk as if he's learned some lessons and learned to restrain himself... until they show things like how he's got the man his wife cheated on him with imprisoned and looking like late season 5 Jesse Pinkman.
105: With Interest 2025 March 25
(First watched 2026-03-29) Interesting to see Kamala Khan's dad show up as a guest character. A sillier character from a sillier show, put into a hostage situation on a grittier show. This is the kind of interesting thing a large franchise lets you play with.
106: Excessive Force 2025 March 25
(First watched 2026-03-30)
107: Art for Art's Sake 2025 April 1
(First watched 2026-03-30)
108: Isle of Joy 2025 April 8
(First watched 2026-03-31) Daniel is an... odd character. He's so recognizably like various MAGA chud bros, but he's also so straightforward it's almost nice seeing him find success?
109: Straight to Hell 2025 April 15
(First watched 2026-04-01) I suppose it makes sense that the season wouldn't end with the heroes in a good place, given the original plan for a longer season was reworked and split into two seasons.
Anyone worried about a Disney+ version of the show being tamer, Frank Castle must've ripped out ten guys' throats and Kingpin ripped a guy's head apart. Jesus Christ.
Lalo (sorry) is in jail. It is interesting how in the Hawkeye show he was just "mysterious guy good with a sword", but in this show he's straight up another minor (at least from our perspective) masked vigilante.
So at the end Daredevil talks about needing an army, and... then he meets with some people in a bar. So I wonder how exactly he meant that. At first I was wondering if he would try to collude with other vigilantes, but here it seems more like expanding his base of normie allies. Like another detective. And uhhh a barkeep.
This kind of thing does sort of beg the question of what's going on with other notable NYC MCU characters. Spider-Man for instance got referenced in one episode, and he'd surely be impacted by the current state of things. I know already that Jessica Jones will be in the next season in some capacity.
Mrs. Fisk has really grown into her role. From originally Wilson wanting to hide his "bad" side from her, to now her being as twisted as he is.
