SPOILERS TOTAL. You've been warned.
101: Matinee 2026 January 27
(First watched 2026-10-12) This is... probably the most laid back start to an MCU story I've seen. You'd think it was just a drama comedy without any real Super stuff going on until the last minute or so, when we learn there's something weird going on with the main character that he doesn't even seem to know.
Good to see Trevor Slattery, I enjoy him as one of the non-leading characters who can show up in various parts of the MCU.
So in the show they're doing a movie remake of Wonder Man, an in-universe superhero movie from decades earlier. The interview with the supposedly-acclaimed director rings true enough for that world. Why a man in his position take on such a project? Well, now that they all live in an actual world of superheroes, that totally changes the context of such a movie and it's appropriate that he might try and do something higher-brow with the concept now.
102: Self-Tape 2026 January 27
(First watched 2026-10-13)
103: Pacoima 2026 January 27
(First watched 2026-10-18) Our hero is just the loneliest dude.
104: Doorman 2026 January 27
(First watched 2026-10-19) Best episode yet and uhhh almost no connection to the rest of the show. A basically standalone story about a guy who gets a weird minor superpower, rides it to a low level of fame, and loses it bigly when it all goes wrong. And uhhhh disappears Josh Gad out of existence.
Connection to our main story being: It's now almost unheard of for powered people to make it as actors because it's seen as too much a liability.
105: Found Footage 2026 January 27
(First watched 2026-10-20) Seems like it took the series a long time to ramp up, but this episode was pretty fun. Trevor's past coming back to haunt him (from a different angle than it already was), getting caught up in a situation, and now trying to juggle the audition business on top of that.
106: Callback 2026 January 27
(First watched 2026-10-22) For a moment I thought the series had taken a really serious turn, but nope, dream fake out.
At the end Damage Control picks up Trevor again, and Trevor says he needs more time to gather evidence against Simon. Considering how recently he had a change of heart in the other direction he's just playing for time here, right?
107: Kathy Friedman 2026 January 27
108: Yucca Valley 2026 January 27
