My feet are cold
March 3, 2002 [ Revenge of the Nerds IV: Nerds In Love] Stupidly semi-entertaining at times way to spend a couple hours. The definitive Booger movie. I'd heard about Outlaw Star's similarities to Cowboy Bebop, and began to see some from my viewing of the first episode, but Jet Black's voice actor being OS's narrator is too much. Toaster Thief: I like big butts and I cannot lie. Me: So it's as if George Washington married Roseanne. Road to Eltingville... interesting show. Wouldn't say I out and out like it as much as some others, but the blatant amount of weirdass references, a good third of which I got, was something to experience. I've long believed that entertainment value very often has an inverse relation with how many people actually get it. I tonight began a new Visual Basic project; working towards creating a clone of Tetris Attack, and from there can add in customization options: field height and width, how many different shapes to use, use your own images, stuff like that. Tetris Attack/Pok?mon Puzzle/Panel de Pon doesn't seem TOO hard of a formula to do. If I snag anywhere it will be with something simple like the way the graphics scroll or the blocks fall, since I've never done much with interactively animating things... so far my program just creates random fields with the shapes, and displays them, along with a numeric representation to the side. I had made a few of my own shapes, but they sucked. So I borrowed them from Pok?mon Puzzle League screenshots. Gamestuffs recently GCN: Bits o' Rogue and Smash, as usual N64: Began a game o' SM64 today. 21 stars currently. Unfortunately, either N64 or SM64 itself has given me a bit o' trouble about resetting itself, which can obviously hinder progress. It only happened later in the day, so something must've been different, but I'm not sure what yet... Current Mood: cold Original
