</h2> Today was <a>[http://www.planetgamecube.com Planet GameCube]</a>'s third anniversary (and one year for the slightly changed name. They're good people, and can trace their lineage directly to the ol' N64HQ. Relatedly, I've awarded journalist-at-large Steven Kent the ''<i><a>[http://www.planetgamecube.com/news.cfm?action=item&id=2736 Best Use of &quot;rape your dog&quot; in a Polite Message]</a>''</i> award. I realize that even though the pictures I show aren't monstrously huge, the many postings shown at once quickly add up. So I'll do more of just linking to things. So here's Tetris Attack clone current state: <a>[http://us.f1.yahoofs.com/users/f2e3570f/bc/Misc/'''hr_PDP2.gif?bcZ0Ci8AuNOR4Box 23]</a> Progress for today: Mostly cleaning things up and adding options. Turned some of the constants into variables, and they're now modifiable. So if you want to play with 3 shapes where you have to line up 7 to make them disappear in a 19x19 field, be my guest. More of that stuff to come. Also made it so blocks don't need to be square. Don't think I'd want it not to be, but wasn't that hard and I'm an options whore. Still haven't made the shapes easily changeable outside of development; putting that off as that'd mostly be part of a grander settings file, and I'd rather only mess with that once I'm pretty sure I've thought of everything I want to include. <a>[http://download.microsoft.com/msdownload/sbn/vbcce/vb5ccein.exe Direct download link for VB5CCE]</a> if anyone else is interested. The day that more or less progressively improved

MST3K tomorrow: Hobgoblins. Finally, epic rake battles and furry puppets together. Tetris Attack clone: Nothing today. Too much other stuff. Tough math test. Then my grandma's in quite a bit of pain; she's been having some sort of mouth pain for quite a long time, though it's come and gone. They haven't really traced its real cause down. Her current pills weren't doing any good today. As it so happened, my mom hadn't been feeling too well today either and was off work, so she came over as well. Made some calls and went and picked up some different medication for Grandma, as well as a couple pizzas. Last before we left, she did seem better off than earlier in the day, though that's not necessarily saying much overall. Also in there I made another batch of cookies like the ones I mentioned 10-ish days ago. The experimentation continues: I included more flour, some oatmeal, and chilled the end mixture for a while; all efforts to try to make the things more solid. However, they didn't make much of a difference and they still got pretty flat. However, as I was prepared this time I put fewer and smaller on a sheet at a time. Then I come home, and watch two movies my dad rented:

<a>Evolution</a>

One-dimensional characters and a tad of product placement. Not excellent, but a reminder that there exists categories beyond that of Nerds IV. Between movies saw a Comedy Central stand up thing. Bob Regan or something like that. Maybe I just haven't seen standup in a while, but I found him quite quite entertaining, and as my dad noticed, was part of that rare breed who aren't liberally *bleep*ed.

<a>The Animal</a>

Standard Happy Madison fare, but this time with Selphie, and slightly more than usual animal sex jokes. I must say I was a bit proud of my brother for making the necessary calls that I don't always externalize. He'd toss out a "Product placement!", quick gag about the General Lee, or whatever during the above two flicks. Rogue Leader: Finally got that homing concussion missile thingy! Indeed, does make Slave 1 suck slightly less ass; it still went down quick on Razor, but took 80 enemies with it in that 90 seconds. It also aided the Tie Advanced, getting me a Bronze in Triumph of the Empire, and upping my rank to Commander. Super Mario World: Began game. I think I can say with some confidence that I have not lost my MAD SKILLZ. Granted, it was only the first world I played tonight, but I only went through each stage once, no lives lost, all dragon coins, never lost my first Yoshi (though we were temporarily separated a few times), and had 19 lives when all was said and done.
