Well, ass.
In what appears to be an attempt to save bandwidth and try to get people to pay for the premium service, in about a week the free Yahoo Briefcase will cease to allow people to have access to public files. It will allow people to view their ass thumbnails of uploaded images, though. Feh. ARE there any worthwhile free file storage/web page services left? Now that I look, though, due to the Yahoo!/Geocities merger or buyout or whatever, me getting a Geoshitties web site is quick and easy due to my pre-existing Yahoo account. I guess I can resurrect a bit of a lame Colon there... but if there's a better option, I'd still rather go for it. If anyone has any particular suggestions as to where would be a good place to go (or avoid), don't keep it to yourself. I see there's a pretty large number of places that seem to offer such services when I look in the Google Directory, but I don't want someplace that isn't going to last, or will often not work or something.
