Went to Fort Wayne again with Chad tonight. I considered getting either Michael Moore's Downsize This or Michael J. Nelson's Mind Over Matters, sequel to his Movie Megacheese. I went with Nelson; Moore is cool and all, but having watched 24 episodes of Awful Truth since last being to Border's, I'm just a bit Moored out. Art of Final Fantasy IX was a bit tempting too, but it's more of a thing to just browse through once in a while... We also went to a Putt-Putt, basically because most stores decide they don't want to be open at such extremely late times as 9 PM. A main thing we wanted to do was check out the DDR machine, but the people who were using it were so beyond us that it basically frightened us away. So we checked out the other machines, other than Ms. Pac-Man mostly trying out things new to us. I finally tried SFIII, did fairly lame with Chun Li. Time Crisis (don't remember if it was 1 or 2) we played co-op, I lasting a minute or so longer than Chad, but neither of us being huge gun wizzes. Virtual On we battled each other. We had no the hell idea what we were doing, but quite fun; once I beat him I even made it past 2 or 3 CPU opponents before losing. I didn't use all my tokens; s'pose I'll be back some day. Rogue: Messing Final Fantasy VIII: About half hour further in game time, more in real time. After another loss against Ultima, I used a Game Shark code so as to save anywhere, thus making me not have to repeat 20+ minutes of menial battles before losing the important one. After that tried the big fight again several times, but haven't won yet. Super Mario World: Skinned Forest of Illusion and outlying castle/fortress. Stage number: 66. Original
