There are many clones of Dr. Pepper out there.  Usually easy to spot with names that have "Dr." or maybe a "Mr." in there.  They're not all alike, though, so for reference I'd like to rank them here.

*'''Dr. Thunder''': The Wal-Mart/Sam's Club brand.  Formerly known as the evidently-not-Dr.-Pepper-sounding-enough Southern Lightning.  A very good replacement considering the cheaper price.

Dr. Pepper is my favorite of the sodas.

There are many clones of Dr. Pepper out there.  Usually easy to spot with names that have "Dr." or maybe a "Mr." in there.  They're not all alike, though, so for reference I'd like to rank them here.

  • Dr. Thunder: The Wal-Mart/Sam's Club brand.  Formerly known as the evidently-not-Dr.-Pepper-sounding-enough Southern Lightning.  A very good replacement considering the cheaper price.
  • Dr. K: Kroger's brand.  Slightly closer to Thunder than to Topper in quality.
  • Dr. Topper: From Clover Valley; I see it in Dollar General stores.  You recognize what they were going for, but also that they didn't get close enough.
