NOTES

Originally started the song with "Let's go holding hands" as it fit syllable-wise, but changed it to "Let's hold hands today". Flows much more like the original.

Originally turned "walk down the street" into "walking down the pathway", but then changed to "walking down a new road". Sounds more like the Japanese line, and "new" fits in the song.

Originally turned "cross over them" to "crossing what blocks our way", but changed it to "crossing over them all". Sounds a bit smoother, and things blocking the way seemed more than what the original was going for.

Scales as the source of the fortune got omitted. It wasn't something I was familiar enough to work with, and in that case the slightly more general version would be easier to grasp for others like me anyway.

The bit with the letters (E, C) I ignored--other than holding up these letters in the Goto Maki video it just seems like so many other times when a word or syllable gets repeated.

Added wordplay: "funny feeling that fun days are on their way", "been on my mind from the bottom of my heart"

Replaced "siblings" with "bro and sis" both for reasons of length and sounding more casual.

"Days full of adventure" and "Days full of importance" still sound way clunkier than the original. They maintain the right length and meaning, but are the part I'm currently least happy with.

"Days full of importance" became "Days so full of meaning"

Adventure -> seeking? exploring? Derring-doing? roaming? seeing?
