Also known as French Cut Green Beans

What the hell?  If I'm going to eat a green bean, I'm going to want to chew it.  Why would I want someone to go to the trouble of cutting it into thin stringy slices that go all limp and dry out more quickly?  It's not like a potato, where without being cut apart you can't fit it in your mouth.  It's not like corn, which can't be eaten with a utensil unless removed from the cob.  This is a completely superfluous and negative thing to be doing to green beans, and I don't like it one bit.

However, mom likes and buys them, so I frequently have the chance to not-eat them.
