What We Do in the Shadows Season 6
What We Do in the Shadows (TV series)
What We Do in the Shadows Season 5
SPOILERS TOTAL. You've been warned.
601: Episode name YYYY MMMM D
(First watched 2025-02-18) Kind of a slow-burner for a season opener. Fifth roommate Jerry is woken after 50 years of super-sleep rather than 20 as he wanted. Oops. The vampire conquest of the new world is brought up again... will that again be a thing this season?
Guillermo living "independently" in the old garden wank shed.
602: Episode name YYYY MMMM D
(First watched 2025-02-18) Hey, Tim Heidecker. Nadja and Nandor trying to make sure Guillermo succeeds in his human job so he doesn't snap and kill them, like some other situation they heard about. By murder, sure, but Nadja is actually pretty successful at helping Guillermo move up the ladder. While Nandor... is just a weird janitor.
So now uhh a not-Frankenstein's Monster has been created? Will he be showing up irregularly like Doll Nadja?
603: Episode name YYYY MMMM D
(First watched 2025-02-19) Lots of fun silliness in this episode, but Nandor hypnotized to be Richard Nixon takes the cake.
604: Episode name YYYY MMMM D
(First watched 2025-02-20) Love that their simple solution to Sean wanting an interview with the fake railroad they claim to work for is... renting out a floor and hiring a bunch of actors to create a fake office for him to be interviewed at.
Poor Nandor has been fired from the company he, Nadja, and Guillermo work at.
605: Episode name YYYY MMMM D
(First watched 2025-02-20) So Nandor didn't take that firing very well, and declared war on Cannon Capital. The big twist being... he actually had formed an army out of fired workers, rather than it being entirely imaginary with a group of mannequins like they saw when they arrived.
Colin Robinson got really into the training. Reminded me of when he was booby-trapping their house preparing for an attack. He has a crazy fighting streak in him, that one.
606: Episode name YYYY MMMM D
(First watched 2025-02-21) That was a strong episode. We haven't had a dumb misunderstanding as big as "vampires think Airbnb next door is a group of shapeshifters" in a while. Then there was Laszlo's father's ghost who was believably Laszlo-esque, and Laszlo's steampunk Ghostbusters equipment.
607: Episode name YYYY MMMM D
(First watched 2025-02-21) Haha, another good dumb misunderstanding. Sean's March Madness craziness is obviously demonic possession! ...Right?
Guillermo getting "trusted" at work seems like he's going to be a fall guy for some illicit business practices.
This season Nandor has developed a crush on The Guide... but does it seem like she was on the show more before she got added to the main credits? In those seasons she had more of an explicit identity in relation to them since they were still sorta doing vampiric council stuff.
608: Episode name YYYY MMMM D
(First watched 2025-02-22) Overreacting to a TV show being shot on the neighborhood... recently has been a big return to season 1 type silliness.
Again no appearance by The Guide at all.
609: Episode name YYYY MMMM D
(First watched 2025-02-22) Celebration for the Baron gone wrong a fun excuse to bring out all kinds of weird themed vampires from around New York. The Baron now seems... serious about this New World domination thing.
Also Guillermo's cousin now knows about the vampires in a non-hypnotized way, so how will that play out with the little time that remains.
Nandor's crush on the Guide seems to have reached its finale here and... gone nowhere. This show sometimes be like that.
610: Episode name YYYY MMMM D
(First watched 2025-02-23) Good ending for Cannon Capital stuff. Guillermo not exactly set up for a fall, just overpromised and used until he's pushed to take revenge. And the strange Nandor-Guillermo relationship now turning to... vampire superhero duo? It could work.
