Wahoo! [http://cube.ign.com/articles/354/354633p1.html Animal Forest + confirmed for US release, with Doshin and Animal Leader still under consideration]! Says Miyamoto, "Hopefully they will be and we are hoping to work on converting those to English as well. So please go ahead and raise your voices and encourage us to do so." As a great man once said, woobaby. Hung around Chad's place for hours before going to tutoring, but both were mostly uneventful: at Chad's we mostly watched Awful Truth and Enterprise, and I played Princess Maker 2 while he was still in class; Betty Newbie had a slow start, but was quite the chef and artist a few years later. Again noone to tute, so I studied State and Local Politics stuff. I'm now slightly more knowledgeable after skimming through Governor and Bureaucracy chapters. Ugh. I noticed Morpheus wouldn't let me connect today, claiming an old version. Didn't see the new one available for download yet, so I guess it's a period of change. So, no more Queen for me today. I implore you, don't remain stationary where you are; take this move and break it. [http://www.yip.org/~tao/overlord.html What to do if you ever become an Evil Overlord]. Genius. If you want to take over the world, but not be pathetic like almost all fictitious tryers, heed this list. In my recent continuing readings of Kent's game history book, it's hit around the PSX/Saturn/N64 launch time, which is interesting for me because that's probably the last time I really started following gaming news and didn't stop, so it brings up good memories of my fifty-million-times-read EGM Shoshinka '95 issue and such. Or when I was naive enough to believe carts wasn't a horrible decision. Tales of Phantasia yesterday and today: Left Odin's and went through most of Fenrir's. May finish that place up tonight or tomorrow. Rogue Leader yesterday and today: General screwing around and wondering why anyone in their right mind would want the Slave 1. Next, my inadvertenly too-flat cookies seemed to go over quite well with folks, so (mostly for my own benefit), I'm writing down m'ingredients. I did a Google search for a chocolate chip cookie recipe, which lead me [http://www.well.com/user/vard/cookies.html here], where they basically give the Toll House recipe with a few suggestions, which I then built upon. I only made a half-amount batch, and due to this the measurements were more approximate than normal: getting eights of cups using a 1/4 cup and such. 1 1/8 cup flour 1/2 teaspoon baking soda 1/2 teaspoon salt 1 stick melted butter 3/8 cup white sugar 3/8 cup brown sugar 2 teaspoons vanilla extract 1 egg "Some" chocolate chip cookies straight from bag; half cup-ish, I dunno. 2-3 tablespoonsish milk (this probably made a liquey difference) "Some" instant butterscotch pudding mix and instant hot chocolate mix, probably equivelant to a couple tablespoons apiece. Mixed it all up, pre-heated oven to 375 degrees, and put the dough on a cookie sheet: I had it split into 9. Then I placed a miniature peanut butter cup in the center of each. Put them in the oven, and come back 9-ish minutes later to find they're spreading, and soft. I come back in a few more to find them a bit more spread, a bit less soft. I kinda push back the side of one which seemed to be edging closer to the edge than the others. I also noticed that the back ones seemed to be getting "doner", so I rotated 90 degrees. A couple minutes later, I rotated 90 degrees again. A couple minutes later, I took them out; they still seemed a bit soft, but rather soft than burnt I figured. Sliced where some had grown into each other. Took 'em off with metal spatula and put them onto plate; though they were indeed limp, I was glad to see they didn't fuss much about coming off the sheet, so whee. From there they just cooled. Later, I had one. Pretty good.
