Star Wars: Ahsoka Season 1

X01: Episode name 2023 August 22
(First watched 2023-08-25) This is very much a followup to Rebels, and I think I'm pretty rusty on my Rebels knowledge. I know we saw Sabine and Ahsoka together at the end, but as an apprentice? Did they make clear she was Force sensitive very late in the game? She'd been hanging around two Jedi for years and kind of sucked ass at trying to use the Darksaber when she was trying to learn how to fight against someone with Force capabilities.
The intro was very unexpected. In its cheap red way it felt like some kind of evil inversion of the scrolling fanfare intro the Episodes get.
Do Jedi have to fight in the most flowery way possible? Ahsoka seemed to be handling herself fine against the droids in the regular way, so slicing up ancient ruins to drop them through the floor in a funny way... OK?

X02: Episode name 2023 August 22
(First watched 2023-08-28) Extragalactic stuff, eh? There was a Big example or two of that in Legends but it's pretty rare in current canon Star Wars so far. The thing they're building to get there looks like a giant stargate, though it seems more like they're taping a bunch of giant hyperdrives together so I doubt it works the same way.
I know when promo images had the mysterious masked guy with a lightsaber there was a lot of speculation about it being Ezra, but if he's off in another galaxy where Thrawn ended up that probably rules him out.
Sabine cuts her hair a lot like me, except I use scissors.
X03: Episode name 2023 August 29

X04: Episode name 2023 September 5
(First watched 2023-09-06?) Feels like the pace of the show is pretty slow. In general in this episode we started at "crashed in the forest" and ended at "confrontation a few miles away from crash site". A few fights and conversations, but mostly just people saying "Boy, I sure want to get to that other galaxy." "Boy, I sure want you to NOT get to that other galaxy."
I am curious how different the other galaxy will be. Part of me wishes it'd be an opportunity to see some things pretty different from what we've seen in decades of Star Wars, but if this was a route used in earlier times then it could be they're just visiting someplace with a similar mix of species and starting from a similar technological basis that's grown apart in recent times.
OK, so that ending could be a very big deal, though. I thought we'd see Anakin in the form of more flashbacks. But if this is really later Anakin in the world between worlds, the first we've seen of him since 1983 following a quarter century of seeing his younger adventures? That's big.
