Reese's Madness

Not much to say today. I was given an extra day to waste, and I did. Fart around, read, blebidibla. Mind Over Matters is one of the few books that will actually make me laugh out loud at points. Nelson is a good man. I wouldn't want to mention a lot of specifics, but here's a paragraph that gave me a kick today, on the subject of Happy Days' Fonzie: Perhaps they were seduced by his signature "Aaaaaa." (That is a long A, as in Aaaaayyy, not a short A as in Aaaaahhhhhhh, a sound he might have used were he, say, being lowered into hot broth.) It is not totally conclusive what "Aaaaa" meant, though having analyzed many instances of it myself, I am prepared to present my theory. I believe "Aaaaaaa" was Fonzie's shorthand for "Aaaaaaa whole bunch of axle grease somehow ended up being stirred into my hair." Others are certain<nowiki>--and though I disagree, I respect their research and thoroughness--</nowiki>that it is a call whose meaning is "Aaaaa thousand laundry cycles would not rinse the sweat, pomade, and spilled Cherry Coke out of my needlessly stiff blue jeans." No matter the truth, it is an exciting intellectual argument. <nowiki>*Keith and I discuss briefly that FF XI can be played solo, albeit in a barren land*</nowiki> <a>Keith</a>: Heh, I guess I never really understood the difference in interpretation (if one even exists) between massive and massively. <a>Me</a>: Because "massive multiplayer" sounds like NFL stars playing a Goldeneye deathmatch. April Foolness: GameFAQs transformation into the Xbox-based GameFAX scary. RPGamer's FF VII GBA article also scary, because the fake screens sucked bad. FF VII 2600 was much cooler. TheForce.Net going N'Sync, har har. Wil Wheaton supposedly getting a recurring role on Enterprise: well, it was at least plausible enough I didn't immediately disregard it, a mistake I made after some <a>seemingly unbelievable</a> items last year. Saw house uncle and fianc? are considering. Not bad, though regrettably basementless. Rogue Leader: Skill enhancing. Current Mood: sleepy <a>Original</a>
