Prequel

The misuse of the word prequel bugs me.  A prequel is a sequel that takes place chronologically earlier.  It is NOT a preceding work.  The Phantom Menace was a prequel to the original series of Star Was movies, but The Empire Strikes Back is not a prequel to Return of the Jedi.  Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney is not a prequel to Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Justice For All--it's just the original work.  It also of course follows that the earlier work is not a sequel to a prequel.  Star Trek: The Original Series is not a sequel to Star Trek: Enterprise.
