Wii price drops won't make a big difference.  At $250, pretty much anyone who wants one can afford one.

No.  It's true that Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 have a lot more room to drop due to their initial high starting prices, but that doesn't mean $250 is the ideal price point.  Remember: Wii is Nintendo's most expensive system ever.  It should thus gain more from dropping the price than any previous Nintendo system.  This is the first time they'll actually be able to drop to the $200 price point and pick up new buyers.  Has everyone forgotten last generation, and assumed the various console price drops from 200 to 180 to 150 to 130 to 100 (some skipping some steps) happened for no reason and without a widening of the number of potential buyers?
