Paintfrakking

Something like this is bound to be happening onscreen when someone unfamiliar with BSG sees a bit of an episode that you're watching.  "This would make more sense if you'd seen the previous 50 episodes!" you claim in vain.

Perhaps I should consider this a wider term that works for similar such situations in all shows.
