| The idea is that if there are an infinite number of alternate universes, surely some must be indistinguishable from things we consider to be fictional universes. OK, that's an interesting starting point for some fiction itself. In this case it's specifically the world of Digimon being hoped for.

| Where it goes a bit crazy is that some small group of people believed (or play-acted for months with a straight face for the world to see) that all it would take to open a portal between our own world and "the Digimon world" would be a concerted act of belief on the part of members of the Digiclipse forum. Certainly since church gatherings have created spontaneous stairways to heaven and Star Trek convention-goers have been known to be beamed away en masse, this theory is sound.
