Unbeknownst to most, Ron Popeil is originally from Krypton.  His birth name was Pope-il.  Whereas being on Earth has given Superman amazing strength, Pope-il has the ability to detect minor inconveniences, and feels that it is his responsibility to get rid of them at low, low prices.
