One of the better sci-fi concept episodes, with different parts of the base going at different rates of time. General Hammond's been off the base to the Pentagon and back over the course of a day, and Jack says "...I thought you were on the phone." | |||
Some things were a bit goofy, though. If the gravitational effect is intense enough for something in one's hand to move toward the gate, it shouldn't just magically cut off at the hand. Having people apparently under normal Earth gravity in the control room while immediately outside of it the gate is considered down... doesn't seem it should would that way. | |||
Jack was a bit of a dick to the guy who ended up sucked through the gate. He held a grudge because he left Jack stuck in an Iraqi prison, when the guy thought he was dead and that saving other people was priority. Dude's right, that's exactly the sort of decision they had to make in this episode to abandon SG-10. The SGC's "never leave a man behind" thing makes for decent TV, but isn't always practical. | |||
