The end bugs me. Â They're talking about possible treatments for Ry'ac, and electroshock therapy comes up. Â Fraiser says it's not barbaric if done properly and while the patient is under anesthesia. Â Then... they just have Teal'c go shoot him with a zat!? Â That's certainly not the proper conditions!
---
Jacob's first appearance... and he's a bit of a dick. Â "Ohhh I'm dying of cancer! Â I require my daughter to become an astronaut to feel an appropriate level of pride before I perish!" Â "But Dad I'm kinda working on something impor" Â "I SAID THAT'S ENOUGH. Â I'LL SEE YOU LATER."
Really this episode had three pretty decent stories going on. Â Carter/dad, reporter wanting to reveal Stargate program, and Daniel/Teal'c on Abydos with temporarily-normal Sha're.
